  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 500 grams chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 500 grams dough
  • 1 egg
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
Step 2
In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Step 3
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
Step 4
Add the chicken breast to the pan and cook until no longer pink.
Step 5
Stir in the cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Step 6
Cook for another 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let it cool.
Step 7
Roll out the empanada dough and cut into circles.
Step 8
Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each circle.
Step 9
Fold the dough over and seal the edges with a fork.
Step 10
Brush the empanadas with the beaten egg.
Step 11
Place the empanadas on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
