  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 500 ml cooking oil
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1000 g pork belly
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 2000 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Boil the pork belly in water with garlic, bay leaves, black pepper, and salt for 40 minutes or until tender.
Step 2
Remove the pork belly from the pot and let it rest until it cools down. Pat dry with paper towels.
Step 3
Heat the cooking oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
Step 4
Deep-fry the pork belly until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
Step 5
Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Step 6
Cut into serving pieces and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
