These delicious stuffed grape leaves are filled with a flavorful mixture of rice, ground beef, and spices. Perfect for a tasty appetizer or a main dish.
Directions
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, rice, onion, parsley, dill, salt, and black pepper.
Step 2
Place a grape leaf on a flat surface, vein side up. Place a teaspoon of the meat mixture in the center of the leaf.
Step 3
Fold the sides of the leaf over the filling and roll up tightly. Repeat with the remaining leaves and filling.
Step 4
Arrange the stuffed leaves, seam side down, in a large pot.
Step 5
Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, then add enough water to cover the stuffed leaves.
Step 6
Place a heatproof plate on top of the leaves to keep them from floating.
Step 7
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 1 hour, until the leaves are tender and the filling is cooked through.
Step 8
Allow to cool slightly before serving.
