This classic Philly Cheese Steak recipe features thinly sliced beef, caramelized onions, and melted cheese, all packed into a hoagie roll. Perfect for a hearty lunch or dinner.
Directions
Step 1
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Add the sliced onions and green bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until softened and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak and season with salt and black pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Step 4
Return the cooked onions and green bell pepper to the skillet with the beef. Stir to combine.
Step 5
Place slices of provolone cheese over the mixture in the skillet and allow it to melt.
Step 6
Once the cheese is melted, divide the mixture into four portions and place each portion into a hoagie roll.
