  • 50 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp pepper
  • 2 kg potatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 500 ml vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Peel and boil the potatoes until they are tender, about 10-15 minutes.
Step 2
Drain the potatoes and let them cool slightly. Grate the cooled potatoes using a coarse grater.

In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
Step 4
Shape the mixture into small cylindrical shapes to form tater tots.
Step 5
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 180°C.
Step 6
Fry the tater tots in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
Step 7
Remove the tater tots from the oil and drain them on paper towels. Serve hot.
