Ingredients

  • 7 grams active dry yeast
  • 500 grams all-purpose flour
  • 15 ml olive oil
  • 10 grams salt
  • 400 ml warm water

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and yeast.
Step 2
Add the warm water and olive oil, then stir until a sticky dough forms.
Step 3
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise for 18 hours at room temperature.
Step 4
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
Step 5
Dust your work surface with flour and gently turn out the dough.
Step 6
Shape the dough into a rectangular loaf and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 7
Bake for 25 minutes or until the crust is golden and the bread sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
Step 8
Let the bread cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
