A traditional Spanish meatball recipe, Albondigas are juicy and flavorful meatballs served in a rich tomato sauce. Perfect for a comforting meal.
Directions
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
Step 2
Form the mixture into small meatballs, about the size of a golf ball.
Step 3
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes.
Step 4
Add tomato sauce and beef broth to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for an additional 30 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
Step 5
Serve the albondigas hot, garnished with additional chopped parsley if desired.
