This Classic Tiramisu recipe is a traditional Italian dessert made with layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and a rich, creamy mascarpone filling. Perfect for any special occasion or just as a delightful treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 240 ml espresso
  • 240 ml heavy cream
  • 300 g ladyfingers
  • 450 g mascarpone cheese
  • 150 g sugar

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until thick and pale.
Step 2
Add the mascarpone cheese to the egg mixture and mix until well combined.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
Step 4
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.
Step 5
Dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso quickly and arrange a layer in the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish.
Step 6
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
Step 7
Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
Step 8
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
Step 9
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
