Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).

Rinse the chicken inside and out under cold running water. Pat it dry with paper towels.

Rub the chicken all over with olive oil, ensuring it is evenly coated.

Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Make sure to season the cavity as well.

Place the lemon halves and rosemary sprigs inside the cavity of the chicken.

Tie the legs together with kitchen twine and tuck the wing tips under the body of the chicken.
Step 7
Place the chicken on a roasting pan or a baking dish.

Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 90 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F) and the juices run clear when the thigh is pierced.
