  • 3 apples
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 125 g butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 ml milk
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a 9-inch springform pan.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Set aside.
Step 3
In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 4
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 5
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
Step 6
Fold in the sliced apples and pour the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the top with cinnamon.
Step 7
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 8
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove the sides of the springform pan. Cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
