Directions
Step 1
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.

While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Cook until the garlic is golden brown and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water. Toss to combine and coat the pasta with the garlic oil.

Add chopped parsley, grated parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper to taste. Toss again until everything is well mixed.
