Ingredients

  • 100 g additional sugar
  • 480 g all-purpose flour
  • 4 g baking powder
  • 30 g butter
  • 10 g cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 240 ml milk
  • 1.5 g salt
  • 50 g sugar
  • 500 ml vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, 50g sugar, salt, and baking powder.
Step 2
In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and egg.
Step 3
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
Step 4
Knead the dough for about 5 minutes on a floured surface until smooth.
Step 5
Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into thin circles.
Step 6
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep-fryer or large skillet to 190°C (375°F).
Step 7
Fry the dough circles one at a time until golden brown and crispy, about 1-2 minutes per side.
Step 8
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Step 9
Mix the additional sugar and cinnamon together in a shallow dish.
Step 10
While still warm, coat the fried dough in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
