  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 beef tongue
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 8 cups water

Directions

Step 1
Rinse the beef tongue thoroughly under cold running water.
Step 2
Place the beef tongue in the slow cooker.
Step 3
Add the quartered onion, garlic cloves, bay leaves, salt, and black peppercorns to the slow cooker.
Step 4
Pour water into the slow cooker until the beef tongue is completely covered.
Step 5
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the tongue is tender.
Step 6
Remove the tongue from the slow cooker and let it cool slightly.
Step 7
Peel off the skin from the tongue and discard.
Step 8
Slice the tongue into desired thickness and serve as needed.
