Rinse the beef tongue thoroughly under cold running water.

Place the beef tongue in the slow cooker.

Add the quartered onion, garlic cloves, bay leaves, salt, and black peppercorns to the slow cooker.

Pour water into the slow cooker until the beef tongue is completely covered.

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the tongue is tender.
