Directions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a large bowl, combine the cornmeal, salt, and baking soda.

Add the buttermilk to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Heat the vegetable oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
