Ingredients

  • 450 g chicken breast
  • 5 g cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 2 green onions
  • 30 ml hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 15 ml rice vinegar
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 10 g sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and cornstarch. Mix well to create the sauce.
Step 2
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Step 3
Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until they are no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
Step 4
Add garlic, ginger, and red chili flakes to the skillet. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently.
Step 5
Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the chicken and stir well to coat.
Step 6
Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened and the chicken is fully cooked.
Step 7
Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
