Beef Lo Mein

A delicious and quick Asian-inspired stir-fry dish featuring tender beef, vegetables, and lo mein noodles in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

  • 450 g beef
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 200 g broccoli florets
  • 1 large carrot
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 3 green onions
  • 450 g lo mein noodles
  • 30 ml oyster sauce
  • 15 ml sesame oil
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 30 ml vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Cook the lo mein noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Step 2
Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
Step 3
Add the thinly sliced beef to the pan and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
Step 4
In the same pan, add garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 5
Add the carrot, bell pepper, and broccoli to the pan. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
Step 6
Return the beef to the pan and add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir well to combine.
Step 7
Add the cooked lo mein noodles to the pan and toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
Step 8
Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
