Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Wash and cut the potatoes into thick wedges.

Place the potato wedges in a large bowl and cover with cold water. Let them soak for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean towel.

In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder until evenly coated.

Arrange the potato wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
