Classic Potato Kugel

A traditional Jewish dish, this classic potato kugel is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect for holidays or family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 0.5 cup oil
  • 1 onion
  • 0.5 tsp pepper
  • 5 potatoes
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2
Peel and grate the potatoes and onion. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
Step 3
Beat the eggs in a separate bowl and then add them to the potato and onion mixture.
Step 4
Add the flour, salt, and pepper to the mixture and stir well to combine.
Step 5
Heat the vegetable oil in a baking dish in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes.
Step 6
Carefully remove the hot baking dish from the oven and pour the potato mixture into it, spreading it out evenly.
Step 7
Bake for 60-70 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
Step 8
Allow the kugel to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
