A quick and easy baked ziti recipe perfect for a comforting family dinner. This dish combines pasta, cheese, and a hearty tomato sauce, all baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 800 g marinara sauce
  • 450 g mozzarella cheese
  • 100 g Parmesan cheese
  • 450 g ricotta cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 450 g ziti pasta

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2
Cook the ziti pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Step 3
In a large bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Step 4
Add the cooked ziti pasta to the bowl and mix until the pasta is coated with the cheese mixture.
Step 5
In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom.
Step 6
Add half of the pasta mixture to the baking dish and spread evenly.
Step 7
Pour half of the remaining marinara sauce over the pasta and sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese.
Step 8
Repeat the layers with the remaining pasta, marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese.

Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.
Step 10
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Step 11
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Step 12
Let the baked ziti rest for 5 minutes before serving.
