  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 15 g baking powder
  • 240 ml buttermilk
  • 5 g salt
  • 120 g unsalted butter

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your hands to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Pour in the buttermilk and stir until the dough begins to come together. Do not overmix.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick rectangle.

Use a round biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
