Ingredients

  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 60 g butter
  • 300 g cabbage
  • 2 green onions
  • 120 ml milk
  • 900 g potatoes
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

Step 1
Place potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15 minutes.
Step 2
While potatoes are cooking, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the cabbage and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Mash with a potato masher until smooth.
Step 4
Add the cooked cabbage, remaining butter, milk, green onions, salt, and pepper to the mashed potatoes. Stir until well combined and creamy.
Step 5
Serve hot as a side dish or main course.
