A nutritious and flavorful bone broth perfect for soups, stews, or sipping on its own. This broth is rich in minerals and can be made with various types of bones for a hearty base.
Directions
Step 1
Place the bones in a large pot and cover with water. Add apple cider vinegar and let sit for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Add the chopped carrots, celery, onion, garlic, bay leaves, salt, and peppercorns to the pot.
Step 3
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Skim off any foam that rises to the top.
Step 4
Simmer the broth for at least 12 hours, adding water as necessary to keep the bones covered.
Step 5
Strain the broth through a fine mesh sieve into a large bowl. Discard the solids.
