Ingredients

  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 480 ml beef broth
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 60 g breadcrumbs
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 30 g flour
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 250 g ground pork
  • 120 ml heavy cream
  • 240 ml milk
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, allspice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Step 2
Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Step 3
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Gradually whisk in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
Step 6
Stir in the heavy cream and return the meatballs to the skillet. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through.
Step 7
Serve the meatballs with the creamy gravy, accompanied by mashed potatoes or lingonberry sauce.
