Delicious Texas-style sausage kolaches, also known as Klobasneks, are soft, pillowy buns filled with savory sausages. Perfect for breakfast or brunch!
Directions
Step 1
Warm the milk to about 110°F (43°C) and add the yeast and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, remaining sugar, and salt.
Step 3
Melt the butter and add it to the flour mixture along with the eggs and the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
Step 4
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Step 5
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 7
Divide the dough into 10 equal pieces. Flatten each piece and wrap it around a sausage.
