  • 1.5 kg blue crabs
  • 6 corn on the cob
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 2 lemon
  • 0.5 cups old bay seasoning
  • 1 kg red potatoes
  • 0 cups salt
  • 0.5 kg smoked sausage
  • 3.5 liters water

Directions

Step 1
Fill a large pot with 3.5 liters of water and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Add 0.25 cups of Old Bay seasoning and 0.05 cups of salt to the boiling water.
Step 3
Squeeze the juice from the lemon halves into the boiling water, then add the lemon halves themselves.
Step 4
Add the garlic cloves to the pot.
Step 5
Carefully add the red potatoes to the boiling water and cook for 10 minutes.
Step 6
Add the corn on the cob and smoked sausage slices to the pot and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 7
Finally, add the blue crabs to the pot and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the crabs are bright red and fully cooked.
Step 8
Drain the pot and transfer the crab boil to a large serving platter or spread out on a newspaper-covered table for a traditional presentation. Serve immediately.
