  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 porterhouse steak
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

Step 1
Remove the porterhouse steak from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
Step 2
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
Step 3
Rub the steak with olive oil and season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Step 4
Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat until very hot.
Step 5
Add the steak to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until a crust forms.

Add the butter, crushed garlic, and rosemary to the skillet.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the steak reaches your desired level of doneness.

Remove the skillet from the oven and let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
