Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and mushrooms, and cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for another minute.

Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until it forms a paste.

Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk, and cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.

Season with salt and black pepper.

Stir in the green beans and half of the fried onions.

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
