In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, uncooked rice, beaten egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the meatballs and set aside.
