Ingredients

  • 800 grams crushed tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup fresh basil
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 120 ml heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 50 grams parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 60 ml vodka

Directions

Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
Step 4
Pour in the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer.

Add the vodka and let it cook for about 7-10 minutes to reduce slightly.

Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and black pepper.

Simmer the sauce for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
