  • 200 grams bacon
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 50 grams brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 400 grams kidney beans
  • 30 ml molasses
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 onion
  • 400 grams pinto beans
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 400 grams tomato sauce

Directions

Step 1
In a large skillet, cook the diced bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.
Step 2
Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Step 3
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
Step 4
Add the cooked bacon, kidney beans, pinto beans, tomato sauce, brown sugar, molasses, mustard, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
Step 5
Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
