Ingredients

  • 900 g beef
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 120 ml soy sauce
  • 60 ml Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1
Slice the beef into thin strips, about 0.5 cm thick, cutting against the grain.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, smoked paprika, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.

Add the beef strips to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

Preheat your oven to 70°C (160°F).

Place the beef strips on a wire rack set over a baking sheet. Make sure the strips are not touching each other.

Bake in the preheated oven for 4-6 hours, or until the beef is dry and chewy.

Remove from the oven and let cool. Store in an airtight container.
