Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).

Remove the turkey giblets and pat the turkey dry with paper towels.

In a bowl, mix the softened butter with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.

Rub the butter mixture all over the turkey, including under the skin.

Place the lemon quarters, garlic cloves, and onion quarters inside the turkey cavity.

Tie the turkey legs together with kitchen twine and tuck the wings under the body.

Place the chopped carrots and celery in a large roasting pan and set the turkey on top.

Pour the chicken broth into the roasting pan.
