Ingredients

  • 2 black peppercorns
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 4 cardamom pods
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 5 cm fresh ginger
  • 480 ml milk
  • 30 g sugar
  • 480 ml water
  • 4 whole cloves

Directions

Step 1
In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
Step 2
Add the black tea bags, cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom pods, peppercorns, and sliced ginger to the boiling water.
Step 3
Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Add the milk and sugar to the saucepan and stir well.
Step 5
Bring the mixture back to a simmer and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 6
Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the chai tea to remove the spices and tea bags.
Step 7
Pour the chai tea latte into mugs and serve hot.
