  • 225 g butter
  • 175 g chocolate chips
  • 120 g chopped almonds
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 200 g white sugar

Directions

Step 1
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly.

In a medium saucepan, combine butter, sugar, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches 285°F (137°C) on a candy thermometer.
Step 3
Immediately pour the hot mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it evenly.
Step 4
Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee. Let stand for a minute or two until the chocolate has melted, then spread it evenly over the toffee.
Step 5
Sprinkle chopped almonds over the melted chocolate.
Step 6
Let the toffee cool completely, then break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
