Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 500 ml beef broth
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 300 g egg noodles
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 200 g mushrooms
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 200 ml sour cream

Directions

Step 1
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Step 2
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion becomes translucent.
Step 3
Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Step 4
Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes.

Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir well to combine.

Gradually add the beef broth while stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until it thickens, about 10 minutes.

Stir in the sour cream, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions.

Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles.
