Ingredients

4 Servings
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 200 grams mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • pepper
  • 4 pork chops
  • salt
  • 1 teaspoon thyme

Directions

Step 1
Season pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
Step 2
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
Step 3
Add the pork chops and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
Step 4
In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and sauté the garlic and mushrooms until tender, about 5 minutes.
Step 5
Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
Step 6
Stir in the heavy cream and thyme, and let the sauce cook until it thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
Step 7
Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Simmer for another 5 minutes until the pork chops are cooked through.
Step 8
Serve the pork chops with the garlic mushroom sauce spooned over the top.
