A delicious homemade calzone filled with cheese, meats, and vegetables. Perfect for a hearty meal or as a savory snack.
Directions
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
Step 2
In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Step 3
Add the sliced mushrooms and diced bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Step 4
In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, cooked vegetables, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano.
Step 5
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a large circle about 1/4 inch thick.
Step 6
Spread a layer of tomato sauce on half of the dough, leaving a border around the edge. Spoon the cheese and vegetable mixture over the sauce.
Step 7
Fold the other half of the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Pinch the edges to seal the calzone.
Step 8
Place the calzone on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the top with a little olive oil.
Step 9
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the calzone is golden brown and the dough is cooked through.
Step 10
Let the calzone cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
