Ingredients

  • 50 grams granulated sugar
  • 100 grams popcorn kernels
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add the popcorn kernels to the pot and cover with a lid.
Step 3
Once the popcorn starts to pop, add the granulated sugar and quickly stir to coat the kernels.
Step 4
Cover the pot again and continue to cook, shaking the pot occasionally to prevent burning, until the popping slows down.
Step 5
Remove the pot from heat and immediately sprinkle the salt over the popcorn. Stir to coat evenly.
Step 6
Pour the kettle corn into a large bowl and let it cool slightly before serving.
