  • 115 g butter
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 60 ml water
  • 4 yams

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Peel the yams and cut them into 1-inch thick slices.

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, butter, water, salt, and ground cinnamon. Stir until the butter has melted and the mixture is well combined.

Arrange the yam slices in a single layer in a baking dish.

Pour the butter and sugar mixture over the yams, making sure they are evenly coated.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
