Ingredients

  • 7 g active dry yeast
  • 360 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 240 ml warm water

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

Sprinkle the yeast over the water and let it sit for about 5 minutes, until it becomes frothy.

Add the olive oil, flour, and salt to the bowl. Stir until the dough begins to come together.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Step 6
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
Step 7
Punch down the dough and turn it out onto a floured surface. Roll out to your desired thickness and shape.
Step 8
Transfer the dough to a pizza pan or baking sheet.
Step 9
Add your favorite toppings and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
