Ingredients

  • 15 ml apple cider vinegar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 g cayenne pepper
  • 30 g chili powder
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3 g ground allspice
  • 900 g ground beef
  • 3 g ground cinnamon
  • 1 g ground cloves
  • 8 g ground cumin
  • 1 onion
  • 15 g salt
  • 425 g tomato sauce
  • 15 g unsweetened chocolate
  • 1000 ml water
  • 15 ml Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1
In a large pot, add the ground beef and water. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer, stirring to break up the beef.
Step 2
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Simmer until the onion is soft, about 10 minutes.
Step 3
Stir in the tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and unsweetened chocolate. Mix well.
Step 4
Add the chili powder, ground cumin, ground cinnamon, ground allspice, ground cloves, bay leaf, salt, and cayenne pepper. Stir to combine.
Step 5
Simmer the chili uncovered for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
Step 6
Remove the bay leaf and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve over spaghetti and top with shredded cheese, beans, and onions as desired.
