Step 1
Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Step 4
Stir in the paprika and flour, and cook for 2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.

Gradually add the chicken broth, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil.

Add the chicken thighs to the pot, season with salt and pepper, and reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.

Remove the chicken from the pot and set aside.

Stir the sour cream into the sauce until well combined.

Return the chicken to the pot and heat through for another 5 minutes.

Serve the chicken paprikash over noodles, rice, or potatoes.
