In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.

Add warm water, evaporated milk, egg, and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rise in a warm place for 2 hours.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 175°C (350°F).

Roll the dough out on a floured surface to a thickness of about 0.5 cm.

Cut the dough into 5 cm squares.

Carefully place a few squares at a time into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
