  • 200 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 500 g calamari rings
  • 50 g cornstarch
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 500 ml vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C.
Step 3
Dredge the calamari rings in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.
Step 4
Fry the calamari in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden and crisp.
Step 5
Remove the calamari from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Step 6
Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
