Combine buttermilk and hot sauce in a large bowl. Add chicken thighs and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.

In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt, black pepper, and 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper.

Remove chicken from the marinade and dredge in the flour mixture, coating thoroughly.
