Yorkshire Pudding is a traditional British side dish, perfect for accompanying roast meats. This recipe yields light and fluffy puddings that are a delightful addition to any meal.

Ingredients

  • 120 grams all-purpose flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 240 ml milk
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).

In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt.
Step 3
Make a well in the center and add the eggs. Whisk until smooth.
Step 4
Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly until you have a smooth batter.
Step 5
Let the batter rest for at least 30 minutes.
Step 6
Place a little vegetable oil into each compartment of a muffin tin and heat in the oven until the oil is very hot.
Step 7
Carefully pour the batter into the hot oil, filling each compartment about halfway.
Step 8
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the puddings are puffed up and golden brown.
Step 9
Serve immediately with your favorite roast meats and gravy.
