  • 0.5 cup basil
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup green onions
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 5 tomatoes

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step 2
Place the sliced tomatoes in a single layer on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt and let sit for 10 minutes to draw out excess moisture. Pat dry with additional paper towels.
Step 3
Fit the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish. Layer the tomato slices, basil, and green onions in the crust.
Step 4
In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and black pepper. Spread this mixture evenly over the top of the pie.
Step 5
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Step 6
Allow the pie to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with additional basil if desired.
