  • 480 ml beef broth
  • 680 grams beef tips
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 230 grams mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 120 ml red wine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Add beef tips and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the beef tips from the skillet and set aside.
Step 4
In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until onions are translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Sprinkle flour over the onions and garlic, stirring to combine and cook for 1 minute.

Slowly add beef broth, red wine, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
Step 7
Return the beef tips to the skillet, then add salt, black pepper, and thyme.

Bring the mixture to a simmer, cover, and cook for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 9
Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for an additional 15 minutes, or until the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened.

Serve hot over rice, mashed potatoes, or egg noodles.
