Ingredients

  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup celery
  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 800 g diced tomatoes
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 900 g ground beef
  • 800 g kidney beans
  • 1 onion
  • 800 g pinto beans
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 700 ml tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water

Directions

Step 1
In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
Step 2
Add the chopped onion, celery, and green bell pepper to the pot. Cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beans, and water.
Step 4
Season with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
Step 5
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer for 1 to 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally.
Step 6
Serve hot, garnished with your favorite toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, or chopped green onions.
