Ingredients

  • 1000 ml beef broth
  • 900 grams beef chuck
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 2 carrots
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 onion
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 500 grams potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 500 ml water

Directions

Step 1
Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Step 2
Add the chopped onions and cook until they become translucent, about 5 minutes.
Step 3
Stir in the minced garlic, sweet paprika, and caraway seeds, and cook for another minute.
Step 4
Add the beef chuck cubes and cook until browned on all sides.
Step 5
Stir in the tomato paste until well combined with the meat.
Step 6
Pour in the beef broth and water, and bring the mixture to a boil.
Step 7
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
Step 8
Add the diced potatoes, sliced carrots, and chopped bell pepper to the pot.
Step 9
Season with salt and black pepper, and continue to simmer for another 30 minutes, or until the vegetables are cooked through.
Step 10
Adjust seasoning if necessary, and serve hot.
